Egypt has said it is eager to continue dealings with Sudan and Ethiopia over the filling of a disputable super dam that has been a wellspring of strain between each of the three Nile bowl nations.

The service said the understanding would need to consider "Egypt's water advantages just as those of Ethiopia and Sudan".

Cairo's defrosting position comes after Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok held a virtual gathering with his Ethiopian partner Abiy Ahmed prior on Thursday to work out an arrangement.

The gathering comes after Addis Ababa said it would not postpone filling the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD), which it started developing in 2011.

In April, Abiy proposed continuing with the "primary stage-filling" that would gather 18.4 billion cubic meters of water in the dam's supply more than two years.

Be that as it may, both Egypt and Sudan dread the store - which has a limit of 74 billion cubic meters - will trap their fundamental water supplies.
