Fewer Tale's Defender of His Country is one of the commended craftsman's most notorious works, and later turned into a national picture when it was imprinted on an Ethiopian national stamp in 1987. Conceived in Italian-involved Ethiopia in 1932, Tell built up his masterful aptitudes at the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London and the Slide School of Art before coming back to Ethiopia, and displayed without precedent for Addis Ababa in 1954.
